A Day in the Life of a 22-Year-Old Community Manager at Zenven Space

April 30, 2025

Hi! I’m Anita Selita, a 22-year-old Community Manager at ZenVen Space.
This is my first job after graduating college, and honestly, I’m still figuring things out one coffee at a time.

I started this blog to share what it’s really like working in a fun co-working space, learning new things, meeting all kinds of people, and yes… fighting with printers sometimes.

It’s not super serious, just a real look into my daily life, with a few jokes and a lot of coffee breaks along the way.

Hope you enjoy it!

Community Manager at Zenven Space

When I finished college, I thought my first job would be serious: lots of suits, serious faces, and maybe even a boss yelling at me like in the movies. Instead, I found myself at Zenven Space – a co-working space full of creative, friendly (and sometimes very caffeinated) people.

Here’s what a normal (and sometimes funny) day looks like for me.

9:00 AM: Starting the Day (And Finding the Coffee)

I get to Zenven Space at 9:00 AM sharp. First mission: turn on the lights, check that everything looks nice, and most importantly, start the coffee machine.

In Kosovo, we say “Pa kafe nuk fillon dita” (Without coffee, the day doesn’t start), and honestly, it’s true.
Sometimes I think the coffee machine works harder than I do! Then first members come in, some are ready to work hard, others look like they need 3 more coffees before speaking.

10:30 AM: Solving Problems (Big and Small)

By mid-morning, things get busy. Emails are coming in, people are booking rooms, asking for help with the printer (which has a mind of its own), and sometimes looking for “where the good Wi-Fi is hiding.”

Managing a co-working space means I do a little bit of everything:

  • Tech support (turn it off and on again)
  • Tour guide (“Yes, that’s the conference room, and no, we don’t have a swimming pool — yet!”)
  • Event planner (making sure our workshops and community lunches happen without chaos)

12:00 PM: Break Time (Finally!)

At 12:00, I take my break, very well deserved after a full 3 hours of solving tiny office mysteries.
Sometimes I grab lunch nearby, other times I bring homemade food (thanks, mama!).
If you know Albanian moms, you know, even at work, I’m eating like it’s a wedding.

1:00 PM: Back to Action

After my break, Zenven is full of life. People are making phone calls, sharing ideas, working on startups, and sometimes arguing with the printer (again).

Every day is different. One minute I’m fixing a coffee spill, the next minute I’m helping organize a networking event. The best part? Getting to know so many smart and interesting people, and sometimes hearing some very creative excuses for missing meetings. (Example: “I couldn’t come because my cat sat on my laptop.” True story.)

3:00 PM: Fighting the Afternoon Sleep

At 3:00 PM, energy levels drop. We do what Albanians do best: coffee break number two! (“Një kafe tjetër, se nuk durohet pa kafe.”) Sometimes someone brings sweets, and suddenly, it’s a small party.
Other times, we play music to wake everyone up, anything from pop hits to some Albanian classics (“Të ka lali shpirt” has entered the chat).

5:00 PM: Wrapping Up

At 5:00 PM, it’s time to close everything down. I check that the space is clean, answer the last emails, and make sure everything is ready for tomorrow.

Before I leave, I usually look around and smile. ZenVen isn’t just a co-working space, it’s a community where people support each other, laugh together, and (sometimes) survive printer disasters together.

Final Thoughts

Working at Zenven Space as my first job is better than I ever expected. I’m learning every day, meeting amazing people, and becoming part of a real community.

And honestly?
If your biggest problem at work is running out of coffee, you’re doing pretty well.
